Support for Mezzanine Floors

A Mezzanine Floor is an Independent semi – permanent floor which is installed within buildings. Mezzanines are generally constructed from Hot Rolled Steel supporting Columns and Beams with Cold Rolled sectional purlins & decking overlaid; usually in the form of 38mm Tongue and Groove particle board.  Mezzanine Floors are an extremely cost Effective way of maximising space and increasing productivity within existing buildings… whatever the nature of your business may be.  A Mezzanine Floor is often a preferred expansion option for many companies; rather than deal with the complex logistics of a move to larger premises.

Frequently Asked Questions About Mezzanine Floors

Q. Is it really cheaper than moving?

90% of the time it’s a LOT cheaper.  For a start, you’re utilising space you’re already paying for.  On top of that your saving the cost of downtime, reprinting stationary, mail re-directs, moving expenses… the list goes on.

Q. Are there regulations covering Mezzanine Floors?

There are indeed. As of July 1st 2014, all structural steelwork, including mezzanines, must be Certified and sourced from a supplier carrying the CE Mark accreditation.  Luckily, Racks Industries are fully CE accredited, as well as CHAS & EuroSafe Compliant.

Q. Do you do Mezzanines for Public Areas?

Yes, we also do front of house.  We’ve installed floors, feature staircases and Balustrades for many high street names.
